2014 - 2016

In 2014 Peter went under surgery to have a start stop procedure done on his heart to attempt to get his heart back in to a regular beating syn.  Unfortunately, this made Peter suffer a mini stroke 2 days after surgery due to a clot that had been formed  from the procedure.

The following  years after his stroke he carried on with work and family life but never felt completely right.

In October 2016, the night before his daughters birthday Peter suffered a major stroke.  It was unsure if he would make it through the night and if he did how it would leave him.

Peter was completely paralysed for the first 5 days after the stroke unable to communicate with anyone unless grunting and then was very confused .  Slowly Peter began to recover with the help of the wonderful hospital team.  Peter was allowed home after 2 weeks after to continue his recovery at home with his family around to help.  Sadly the stroke has left Peter unable to talk a part from saying yes or no, he has constant pain down the right hand side of his body and has aphasia and dyspraxia.
